Hi, I’m Tian Xia, a recent graduate from the University of Michigan with triple majors in Honors Math, Honors CS, and DS. I am an incoming master’s student in CSE at Harvard University. I previously worked as a research intern at SafoLab and SLED lab. I am deeply passionate about modeling concepts in mathematical language and examining them from different perspectives. My main excitement lies in computer vision, machine learning and robotics. Outside of research, I’m an avid gamer, enjoy long walks, and love flying to different cities.
Research
My research interests focus on 3D understanding, generative AI, and embodied agents, emphasizing scalable systems and cross-modal representations. I aim to develop machine learning systems that integrate diverse data modalities, such as vision, language, and 3D spatial information, to advance perception of 3D environments, generation of 3D worlds, and interaction in human-like ways.
Over time, my interests have expanded to encompass a broader range of topics, including computer vision, 3D modeling, and robotics. My current focus areas include:
- Vision-centric 3D understanding: Encompassing 3D reconstruction, recognition, and generation.
- Generative AI: Particularly for generating across diverse modalities and high-dimensional(3D, 4D) creation.
- Multimodal Representation Learning: Integrating vision, language, and 3D spatial information.

Transferwiki - Collabator
TransferWiki is a platform created to assist students from mainland China who are planning to transfer to universities abroad, particularly in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. This platform addresses the challenges and information asymmetry faced by students during the transfer process.
